A recent question asked, according to code, whether certain types of cabling can be run beneath a raised floor or if conduit is necessary.
Let's look at what applies. First, we turn to NFPA to see what applies, and here it is often 75, which shows that for a raised floor we need to either provide plenum-rated cable or use conduit OR follow the National Electrical Code (NEC). So we turn to the NEC (aka NFPA 70), section 645. This then shows the acceptable cables and such for use under a raised floor. From here we can see that this is a bit open for interpretation - funny how that happens with codes.
